These are my words based on hope: I have been waiting - an eternity, perhaps - to hear the "cry with joy of our children" ...all children...children of the world.

Her poetry is so timely, so powerful! I found myself crying over certain poems, smiling and agreeing with how she views and handles the terrible racism and sexism that exists in modern America. Also her poetry about mistakenly choosing a narcissistic man to be your own hits home with me. I will keep this in my library and re-read whenever I need to look at bad situations with hope! Dana K. Ruth Garnes is as passionate as she is eloquent. Her poetry transcends gender and culture and she often find herself tackling the big problems of life in her work. She is a wonderful poet whose work i believe will be greatly lauded whenever it becomes more mainstream.
